PhD Milica Popović completed her undergraduate, master’s, and doctoral studies at the Faculty of Chemistry at the University of Belgrade.
She is an associate professor at the Department of Biochemistry, Faculty of Chemistry, University of Belgrade. In 2014, she received a scholarship for postdoctoral training from the Ministry of Education, Science and Technological Development of the Republic of Serbia. During her postdoctoral studies, she gained experience in the in vitro production of nanoantibodies and their application for oncological purposes.
The focus of her work is on the development of methods that would facilitate the application of extracellular vesicles in biomedicine. She is a member of the following scientific societies: Biochemical Society of Serbia (since 2011), Serbian Cancer Research Society (since 2018), and Serbian Society for Extracellular Vesicles (since 2021). She will be the project leader for the next three years.
